Melanie C. Leonard - Attorney Profile

Melanie C. Leonard, the principal attorney at The Law Office of Melanie C. Leonard, P.C., received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Illinois and her Juris Doctor from Chicago-Kent College of Law where she participated in the Justice Web Collaboratory, a study that focused on meeting the needs of self represented litigants.

Prior to founding the Law Office of Melanie C. Leonard, P.C., Ms. Leonard practiced law with two different Chicago law firms. Her background includes a wide variety of real estate, civil litigation, consumer fraud, intellectual property, business transactions and appellate matters. Ms. Leonard opened her practice in Naperville in 2006, where she now takes a personal approach with her clients and concentrates her practice in residential and commercial real estate transactions and litigation.

Ms. Leonard is admitted to practice in the state courts of Illinois and the United States District Court for the Northern of Illinois. A long-time resident of Naperville, Ms. Leonard is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association, DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association.

Ms. Leonard currently serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of the Enclave at Country Lakes Condominium Association and is proud to volunteer with Juna Amagara Ministries, a charitable organization dedicated to providing supportive homes and educational opportunities to AIDS orphans in Uganda.
